ChampagneFineDiningOpen for light lunches, snacks, afternoon tea or even an early sundowner, the Garden Café by Fine Dining in Style, now open at Natura Garden Centre in Almancil, is a new ‘pop-up’ casual concept for the summer.

Located in a shaded, tranquil spot in the middle of the popular garden centre on Estrada de Vale do Lobo in Escanxinas, the Garden Café’s menu includes tapas-style sharing starters and salads; grilled prawns, steak, fish and chicken; grazing platters of Portuguese meats and cheeses; dishes of the day; and freshly-made cakes and desserts. A variety of items are also available for delivery or take-away.

In search of authenticity, we understand that the people of the Eastern Algarve continue to choose octopus roe to eat with their friends in the company of one or two beers. So we were trying to figure out how this product is made and how it is typically consumed.
