On the 16th of April, the 1st Women & Success Cocktail Event took place, a meeting organized by and for women, with the purpose of making visible several successful female entrepreneurs.

Organized by the Women & Success team, the event was hosted by Isabel Santos, herself a successful business woman and co-owner of Eco-Lar Interior Design, located at Quatro Estradas, Quarteira.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil made by Viveiros Monterosa Lda in Moncarapacho, Algarve, was awarded 4 Gold Medals at the New York International Olive Oil Competition where 702 olive oils from all over the world were judged this week.

The company, originally an ornamental plants nursery, planted 20 hectares with olive trees in the year 2000. The goal was to test if it is possible to make top quality olive oil in the Algarve.

Conrad Algarve has been named “Leading Hotel in Portugal” in the 2014 edition of the Boa Cama, Boa Mesa Guide. The luxury resort received the highest accolade, the “Platinum Key”, in the ceremony that took place on April 15th in Lisbon.

This honor is a recognition of the service of excellence provided by Conrad Algarve since its opening in 2012.

For the third consecutive year, VILA VITA Parc has received one of the 26 Golden Keys from Boa Cama Boa Mesa (Good Bed, Good Table), the acclaimed awards from Expresso, the national newspaper.

Two Michelin star restaurant Ocean, located within the resort, has also won the Golden Fork for the third year.

Vaults Restaurant on Ave 5 de Octobre in Almancil has new owners. Canadians David and Katrina Gale purchased the restaurant in January of this year and are adding Saturday brunch to the menu.

Last Sunday, 6th of April, was a memorable day for Quinta dos Vales, having been the largest “Open Door” event to date.

More than 3000 visitors graced us with their presence at our award-winning farm, on a sunny Spring day.

On the 1st of April a new mega fun area in the Algarve reopened to the public, Zoomarine Water Theme Park.

For the 2014 season, Zoomarine a must see point of Albufeira and of the Algarve, renovated nearly all of its recreational areas and its customer services.
