Due to the extremely warm weather the ASB did not participate in the usual longer monthly rides, instead on the 8th of August Brian '5th Gear' Evans organised a short ride from Sao Bras de Alportel to the pretty village of Querenca for a longer than usual coffee break followed by a short ride through the forests in the Salir area, before returning near to Querenca for lunch at a Restaurant Sol e Serra.
On this occasion the Algarve riders where pleased to welcome Gunter and Jutta Herbold from Germany who always make a point of joining one of ASB rides when visiting the Algarve every year for the Faro concentration.
Later in the month, on the 22nd of August, group member Mike Sanders organised an excellent and social lunch at the Moto Clube in Faro. This annual event was well attended as usual with over 40 members visiting the club house.
The ASB would like to thank the Moto Clube of Faro for their kind hospitality and a really good lunch which was served outside on the large shaded terrace.
