Pestana Group supports bullfighting

bullPestana Hotels - 'Pousadas de Portugal' is offering healthy discounts to those purchasing tickets for the 2014 bullfight season held in the Campo Pequeno bullring in Lisbon

Here is a link to the poster: http://goo.gl/IQfS5A or see a copy of the ad. at the end of this notice.

In a petition on the campaigning web service - change.org - the sponsor says that it is very important to show the Pestana Group, that cruelty has no discount, and that the majority of Portugal's citizens do not approve of bullfighting.

"Bullfighting do not have consensus in our society and internationally many are against the violence and cruelty committed against animals."

To add you name to this campaign directed at the well-known hotelier, Pestana, readers can register with change.org, if you haven't already, which will add your name to others who want the Pestana Group to cease its promotional activity in support of bullfighting.

Again it is all about money, no matter what! So shameful! Do not stay at these hotels, if their bookings go down, they'll think again!! Let's put these hotel's directors in the bull ring and have a go at them?! : :-*

Well done, Ed, for hunting down these nuggets !

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”

Every developed nationality now knows this to be true ... but Gandhi was saying this 100 years ago !

Particularly as bull fightings roots lie in pre-Christian pagan worship from Greece and Egypt. Nothing remotely to do with Iberian culture.

So .... like throwing traumatised donkeys off church towers - why keep doing it except to emphasise backwardness ?
