The center and largest of the 3 car parks by MacDonald's was suddenly sealed off without warning. Rumours abound as to what is happening... from a paid car park to a shopping complex. Interestingly the mandatory information board required in Portugal showing the license number for any construction project and the duration etc. are no where to be seen.
Properties definitely appear to be selling at the faster rate we have seen since before the crash in 2008, so does that mean the price of real estate in the Algarve will start to go up as well?
I'm afraid that I don’t think so, but what we have seen over the last few years is two things; firstly we saw prices drop from unrealistic levels to levels that are more achievable and sustainable.
