New 'Algarve Museum Guide' covers 19 sites

A new ‘Guide to the Museums of the Algarve’ is being launched as an e-book on February 21st.

The Museum Network of the Algarve (RMA) is presenting the guide in the award winning Museum of Portimão.

The e-book will cover the 19 sites that come under the RMA – including museums, living science centres, natural parks, and interpretive, explanatory and environmental centres.

The guide aims to be "a dynamic and collective contribution to enhancing, disseminating and celebrating the cultural diversity of an entire region," as well as "an instrument facilitating greater public accessibility", in order to add "a better and more progressive dissemination of information on the services offered by the various museums and other entities, their programs, initiatives and collections, in a permanent and fruitful dialogue with their potential visitors and communities."

Quite: anyway this e-book should be a useful addition to the regional offer for those more cultural types of tourist who often find museums shut or have trouble finding them in the first place.
