guadianaA known drugs trafficker was been pulled over by police on the Portuguese side of the Guadiana International Bridge.

The 36-year-old, travelling with a couple and two children, had 4.3 kilogrammes of hashish hidden in his vehicle.

The man was arrested in the Praça da Fronteira, Castro Marim, for narcotics smuggling after he was pulled over for a routine traffic inspection on the A22, near the old customs post.

Had nogin the nog read Lord Hague´s views when he wrote this comment? Even a leading light in the Tory Party thinks that the current UK position on cannabis is stupid. Legalise medicinal use and then find a way to legalise recreational use. Deny to the black market its lucrative trade, and take the profit for legitimate use.

The quicker Governments control this industry the bettor. What kind of man takes his children on a drug run.. Prohibition has failed and we need to look very hard at what the Canadian government has done with legalizing and controlling not just the use but the manufacturing .. :-*
