“So many people kept on telling me that they couldn’t find care provision here when they came out of hospital or they just needed help to look after their loved one but they couldn’t find anyone here to support them, I just felt I needed to put my business skills and 10 years UK care experience into action and make this happen”.
“It’s really taken off. We have also had a massive response from those who are just visiting but need support during their stay, it’s been amazing to work with so many different people and it’s great to be making a difference by helping those who need us”.
Based in Albuferia, in addition to their homecare service, they look forward to working closely with the local communities to provide better care facilities in the future across Central, Eastern and Western Algarve with plans to build state of the art, affordable Care Homes, Day Centres and Respite Centres.
Kelly added “we are especially looking forward to the launch of Algarve Care and Support’s Dementia Cafe’s next year, the first of its kind here. It’s a very exciting time for both the Algarve and for us but what’s even greater, is we are helping to build and support the infrastructure of a better social security system for Expats.”
