Vale do Lobo Fashion Show raises €2000 for WVCF

Vale do Lobo Fashion Show raises €2000 for WVCFOn behalf of the Wolf Valley Charity, Angela Dickinson organised a Fashion Show and lunch in the Vale do Lobo Auditorium on Friday, 13th May 2016.

A magnificent collection of the latest summer fashions was provided by local fashion retailers

By Rory at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago - modelled by Natashia
Collections by Alison Slater of Carvoeiro - modelled by Becky
La Dolce Vita by Marité in Almancil- modelled Niquette

The success of the show was due to the gorgeous models, who, very professionally strutted their stuff on the catwalk. A big thank you to Natasha, Megan, Nickette, Russell, Becky, Sol, Elsbeth and Shirley.
A very good lunch was provided by Spikes for 77 persons, accompanied by music from DJ Luis of O Cubo at Quinta Shopping. Vale do Lobo kindly provided the use of the Auditorium and its staff and set up a raised catwalk for the models, which was decorated with flowers and plants from Natura.

Raffle vouchers worth €200 were very generously donated by the participating retailers, as well as a massage and yoga from Sol Viegas, and a dinner at Aquarelle.

This was a very successful show that was enjoyed by all those present and raised nearly €2,000.

The Wolf Valley Charity Fund (WVCF) was founded in 1999 by a group of Vale do Lobo residents with the aim of supporting local Portuguese charities and people in need, including the disabled, the underprivileged and socially deprived. The WVCF has since raised nearly €1,000,000.

Much of WVCFs’ funds are raised on the highly successful annual Charity Day. There are many stalls and fun for all age groups. This year companies including Martins & Correia will display high quality domestic electrical equipment and the latest generation TVs, RCLA Wines – offering tasting of a variety of wines and BBQ’s Algarve will be displaying their latest Broil King equipment. Avalon Funeral Services will be there to point out the benefits of planning.

The WVCF Charity Day is on Saturday June 4, 2016. Everybody – including non-golfers and the very young – are welcome. CLICK HERE for details.
