Portas claims 2015 Budget is ‘moderate’

portas2The deputy prime minister Paulo Portas has spoken on the subject of the proposed 2015 State Budget, claiming it is good for business as corporation tax is to be reduced and that the pro-family package is a winner.

Portas said that the proposed Budget is "fiscally more moderate" than earlier and that families are being supported, “It is a pro-family policy, recognising that the state should create a favorable environment for families who have children, or who want to have them in exercise of their freedom."

Paulo Portas spoke in Estoril at the closing session of the 13th meeting of the EASA, the first Business School founded in Portugal.

The deputy prime minister also highlighted the continued decline of the Corporation Tax in the proposed budget for next year, part of Portugal’s plan "to be competitive" economically.

EASA, the first Business School founded in Portugal ... this is what is so embarassing about the Portuguese 'aping' developed countries. In this case having a Business School.

Even assuming a higher level Portuguese student actually wants to study - not bung the teacher a dinner - how can they even begin to analyse and research their own country? Published accounts will bear no resemblance to the actual health of a business ... such as anything Espirito Santo, Portugal Telecom or say one of the PPP's.

In all sectors European structural funds only go to the most important and wealthy. Anyone attempting an innovation must 'connect' to the elite, usually by employing some important offspring or using specified suppliers.

Then bundle in the 'trafficking of influence' and such backwardness as outright fraud and tax evasion. So adding to the endless distortion - that just makes clear Portugal is a non-functioning 'competitive' market.

Which will remain a failed basket case with their hand constantly out for EU funds.

Exactly what the developed countries Business Schools illustrate copiously in their case studies!
