Nature walks, day and night
- Written by Paul Rees
Discover Cacela Velha: 'Steps Counted' - walking, observing, moving and drawing with charcoal, watercolors and oils. Walking, pad and pencil in hand, we will draw the details that make Cacela Velha special place. Along the way we stop at the different points of interest - the fortress, the traditional houses, the church, the vestiges of the old medieval wall - and the surrounding landscape.
We will do some quick notes on the way, details, textures, shadows, outlines, drawings for the final design. We will also draw with inks that are made in the session itself, from local plants and pigments.
'Steps Counted' ... because paths, places, people tell stories. The Municipal Council of Vila Real de Santo António offers new experiences this year for the interpretation and decoding of the cultural landscapes and nature of the eastern Algarve.
