Christmas has come and gone and the true effect of the wonderful A22 tolls is becoming more and more obvious. I have spent many hours in the last 3 weeks turning back the clocks to pre motorway travel.
Memories of those many days when we all used to spend hours ‘nose to tail’ on the N125, or avoiding the idiots on the wrong side of the road. Well it’s all ‘as was’ as far as I have seen on my trips out. The A22 looks blissfully empty but the N125 is hideous. So, for me a visit to the Vets or the Doctors now needs double the time allowed and no doubt my blood pressure will measure double what it did! For Julie the school run has taken on far more stress as she battles with the now overcrowded Albuferia/Algoz/Silves road.
During discussions with clients they all have stories to tell. If we all pay the toll on the motorway it puts up the cost of our trip out. As usual it has not been made easy for us and the transponder does not swap from car to car which would be helpful.
So we have to put our thinking caps on for an answer to help our clients collect their pet food.
First we have an outlet to cover the West Coast - just visit Meri at Harmony Earth, Praia da Luz. This shop is positioned near the Baptista supermarket in Luz with lots of parking outside the door. She has a lovely large shop, and always carries the Burns range as well as many of our other ranges. Just visit her for a chat.
We have an outlet in Almancil, Papa’s on the Val do Lobo road. Full address details are; Papas Estrada de Vale do Lobo, Escanchinas 8135-107, Almancil.
She stocks Burns and any of our other ranges. Again just visit Maria for a chat about your needs, and between us we will sort it out for you.
Failing that any goods can be delivered to your door by the courier. All orders over €50 are sent to you at no cost to yourself. The couriers are extremely efficient.
