Top Tips for keeping customers happy

Happy CustomerIt is often said that it is easier to sell to an existing customer than find a new one. It is true ... but you do need to keep existing customers or clients happy.

Here area few simple tips on how to keep customers happy.

1. Make customers / clients feel important. 

2. Show passion for them, their families, interests etc or if a business for their brand, product or service.

3. Use language like "we" and "us" to foster a team spirit. 

4. Don't make promises you can't keep. 

5. Communicate, even when no work is coming through. Keeping in touch keeps you at the front of their mind and you are therefore more likely to be approached when next they want to buy. 

6. Listen to them (and ask questions.) 

7. Be prompt in replying to missed calls, emails etc. 

8. For business customers keep a log of your activity to show how your work has moved them forward. 

9. To show your impact on their business keep a log of your achievements and share it with them at the appropriate time. 

10. Be loyal. 

11. Think of other ways you can help a customer’s …. or client's business.

12. Say thank you to your customers or clients, make them feel special.

Finally smile when you meet them.  As smile costs nothing but is a very important relationship tool! Would you want to buy from a miserable person?
