Money saving tip - rip off ATMs in Stanstead

In these days of austerity , can we have a money saving tip each week?  My example is that on a recent visit to the UK I neglected to take any sterling. On arrival at Stanstead there are several cash machines in the baggage reclaim area proclaiming commission free money. The exchange rate offered was £1.00 = €1.34. Outrageous. I unfortunately had withdrawn £50.00 before I realised the rate of exchange.

Motoring fines up 80%. You will remember that it the Algarve that asked for more police to fight all the robberies. I was quite shocked to find out that central government was quick to agree that you needed more police to fight the crime in the Algarve and they dispatched another 2000 officers.
