Four Seasons Country Club helps ACCA raise 20,000 euros for children in need

On the 27th of January The Four Seasons Country Club in Quinta do Lago held a sponsored 25 hour jubilee Spinathon in aid of ACCA. Four Seasons Country Club General Manager, Ian Pugsley and his team truly put there hearts into the event, to ensure the spinathon would be a huge success.

The Spinathon was held as part of the FSCC's Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Participants in the Spinathon consisted of more than 35 cyclists, with FSCC instructors & substitute cyclists on standby in case of injury. 

Dr Kaiser and his wife participated, aswell as Dr Kaiser being 'the medical person' on hand if the need arose. The teams consisted of FSSC, ACCA two local gyms - Active Q  and Quinta Verde, in addition to the International School Lourenço Mums team.

A total of five teams cycled for five hours throughout the event, with the exception of Ian Pugsley who somehow managed to do six hours!

Wanda Crawford of ACCA stated, " there was nothing you could ask of Ian or any staff member that was too great of a chore. They all rallied to the cause to make the event as fun filled as possible."

Wanda was amazed to see how willing they all were, to pitch in and do anything to secure a phenomenal success.

Ian said " It really shows the spirit of the local community when we have people cycling their hearts out for charity with such amazing support from so many friends and family, even through the wee hours of the night. Everyone is to be congratulated on their effort; we are delighted to be able to help ACCA continue its inspiring work across the Algarve."
