Readership Survey Results

A number of readers on the e-newsletter list, 1,150 to be exact, were emailed and asked to fill in a simple questionnaire about www.algarvedailynews.com.
A 22% response rate ensured that the results published below are representative of overall readership. These findings will enable us to provide news content that you want, without the guesswork, and to add the missing services that were highlighted in your responses.
Pleasing was the general attitude to advertising, with only a few readers finding the 'rising ads' annoying. Less than half of readers realised that these ads can be clicked on to link through to advertisers' websites.
It is clear that you want more news, especially covering the Algarve and Portugal, and that you would like to see a Property section on the website, also a Business Directory that lists Algarve based companies and service suppliers. Both of these have since be provided.
Many thanks to all of you who filled in and returned the questionnaire; a boring task maybe, but very useful in planning what information and services you want on your website.
